Director of Community Initiatives

Andel has led social impact programs and partnerships in the data analytics, technology, renewable energy, local government, and philanthropic sectors. In her prior role as Principal at Karp Strategies, Andel led business development & delivery of consulting projects in community economic development and renewable energy, with clients including Vineyard Offshore, the Champlain Hudson Power Express (CHPE), Equinor, NYSERDA, Silverstein Properties, among others. 


She previously worked with large corporate clients at FSG to transform their corporate social responsibility strategies; launched and led the impact & data strategy for Bloomberg Philanthropies’ What Works Cities initiative; and managed IBM signature philanthropic programs the Smarter Cities Challenge and City Forward. She has also served as an advisor to the civic tech start-up mySidewalk, helping cities & community organizations analyze and communicate with data. 


She has a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a B.A. from Emory University, and was a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs in New York.
